AEW news items regarding Keith Lee vs. Swerve Strickland, Eddie Kingston, and Don Callis

Here are a few AEW news items for April 14th 2023 via the Wrestling Observer Newsletter and Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com…

* As seen during the April 12th 2023 edition of AEW Dynamite, Swerve Strickland interfered in Keith Lee’s match against Chris Jericho. According to Meltzer, the plan is to hold off on the Lee vs. Strickland match until the 2023 Double or Nothing PPV.

* Eddie Kingston, who is under contract to AEW but “quit” and became part of the Ring of Honor roster, has been dealing with a hernia problem since September and will likely need to have surgery.

* As previously noted, Don Callis was legitimately injured during the March 29th 2023 edition of AEW Dynamite after being punched by Jon Moxley in a backstage segment. Callis was said to have been hurt after going head first into a lighting rig.

Meltzer noted that besides the deep and long cut on his forehead above the right eye, Callis also suffered cuts inside his mouth as well as a few damaged teeth and some neck whiplash. Meltzer added that Callis has been dealing with neck issues for decades that were caused from a wrestling match.
