Adam Cole could be leaving WWE in the near future

It was initially believed that WWE NXT star Adam Cole’s contract would be expiring in 2024 and that he signed when NXT debuted on the USA Network. However, Raj Giri of WrestlingInc.com is reporting that Cole’s deal actually expires after the Summerslam PPV and he will soon be a free agent. Giri also noted that Cole’s contract ended after the Great American Bash show but Cole extended it.

Fightful Select confirmed the report and added that Cole had the chance to leave the company…

“We’re told that Adam Cole expressed to WWE that he was willing to work through Summerslam weekend and re-evaluate things. WWE sources put over Cole for being open to doing that as opposed to just appearing on another program without any notice by WWE.”

Cole defeated Bronson Reed on last week’s edition of WWE NXT and will seemingly be having a match again Kyle O’Reilly at the Takeover 36 PPV.
