A high-level person in WWE reportedly “went to bat” for Sheamus with TKO
It was reported that Sheamus is leaving WWE after his contract expires, and his WWE.com profile was moved to the Alumni section on Sunday evening. It was noted that he “rejected a restructured extension.”
In an update on Sheamus, Fightful.com’s official Twitter/X account noted the following…
“In the lead-up to his WWE departure, Sheamus had a high-level member of the office who went to ‘bat for him’ with TKO, Wrestle Votes Radio on Fightful Select has learned. Another close source to Sheamus believes he would welcome an opportunity to work for AEW, even on a short-term basis.”
