Report: The reason why WWE Crown Jewel 2026 has been moved to a different venue

The ticketing page for WWE Crown Jewel 2026 now lists The Venue (ANB Venue) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as the event’s location. The show was originally scheduled to take place at Riyadh Season Stadium at KAFD (King Abdullah Financial District).

The Venue is also scheduled to host the boxing match between Canelo Alvarez and Christian Mbilli on Saturday, October 31st. Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com noted that the reason given for the venue change was that organizers believed holding the event indoors would be safer than staging it outdoors.

Meltzer questioned why tickets were refunded and put back on sale rather than transferred, given that ANB Venue and Riyadh Season Stadium are located near each other. He described the situation as a late logistical issue, adding that it was not WWE’s responsibility but rather the government’s.

Meltzer stated the following…

“The move was based on the idea that in an indoor arena they can improve security and have greater control on what gets in. This came after recent missile and drone interceptions.”
