Tony Khan on The Hurt Syndicate’s status with AEW: “We could see them anyplace, anytime”
During a media call for the 2026 AEW WrestleDream PPV event, AEW President Tony Khan was asked about The Hurt Syndicate’s status with the company. Here is what Khan had to say…
“In the ring, the Hurt Syndicate have said they are for hire, so we could see them anyplace, anytime. I think for the right amount of money. Certainly, one thing they did not want to do was beat up Big Justice and the Rizzler, so they were happy to work with Big Boom AJ, Big Justice, and the Rizzler and turn things around.
They had kind of a precarious relationship, as we saw when they brawled at Brawl in the Ballpark. In some of the matches where STP were bested by the Hurt Syndicate at Brawl in the Ballpark, STP then tried to hire the services of the Hurt Syndicate.
But, you know, the Hurt Syndicate won’t work with just anybody, but they are for hire under the right circumstances, kind of like The A-Team. I think it’ll be interesting to see how they get involved. I have a lot of respect for Bobby, Shelton, and MVP, and they could come in as hired guns for potentially anybody here.”
