Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins in a world heavyweight title match confirmed for WWE SummerSlam 2026
The June 29th 2026 edition of WWE RAW concluded with Seth Rollins interrupting a promo from Roman Reigns.
Rollins said Reigns was in possession of a championship that belonged to him and declared that it was “time to collect.” Reigns fired back by telling Rollins he was at the back of the line and had not earned another title opportunity.
Rollins responded by saying he had “owned” Reigns for years. He pointed to helping Cody Rhodes defeat Reigns at WrestleMania 40, beating Reigns himself at WrestleMania 41, the fact that Reigns never defeated him during his four-year world title reign, and cashing in his Money in the Bank contract at WrestleMania 31. Rollins also reminded Reigns that he ended The Shield by driving a chair into his back.
Rollins said he wanted to give Reigns one more opportunity to beat him, warning that it could be his last chance with a new generation of stars on the rise. While acknowledging that Reigns has a Hall of Fame-worthy career, Rollins said that if Reigns refused the match, he would never escape the “Ghost of Seth Rollins.”
Reigns admitted that he needed to defeat Rollins and accepted the challenge, confirming that the two will face each other at SummerSlam.
