Two rumored women’s matches emerge for WWE SummerSlam 2026
According to False Finish, a match between Rhea Ripley and Jacy Jayne for the WWE women’s title “has been pitched internally for SummerSlam in Minneapolis.” Jacy has been eliminated from the 2026 Queen of the Ring tournament so she would have to find another way to earn a title match.
Furthermore, WrestleVotes Radio noted that a match between Jade Cargill and Charlotte Flair “has been pitched internally for SummerSlam and at one point was penciled in for the event.” It was stated that WWE creative has been waiting for the right time for a first-time Jade vs. Charlotte match and that SummerSlam could be the ideal setting.
The Queen of the Ring winner will receive a title match at SummerSlam. Liv Morgan, who is the current women’s world champion, is in the semifinals. It was initially believed that Liv would continue her feud Stephanie Vaquer in the summer but Stephanie’s return date from injury hasn’t been determined.
