Results of the Intercontinental title ladder match at WWE WrestleMania 42 Sunday

Penta (c) vs. Je’Von Evans vs. Dragon Lee vs. JD McDonagh vs. Rusev vs. Rey Mysterio for the Intercontinental title in a ladder match took place at WWE WrestleMania 42 Sunday. Here are the highlights…

Lee, McDonagh, and Rusev’s entrances were not shown.

Everybody started fighting before Penta could get into the ring. Penta jumped into the ring with a crossbody onto Rusev. Penta and Lee worked together, but Rusev took them both down with a ladder. On the opposite side of the ring, Je’Von hit a big flying dive to JD on the outside.

Rusev was the first to attempt to climb the ladder, but Penta stopped him. JD tried to climb, but Je’Von took him down with a springboard clothesline. Rey gave Lee a 619 with the ladder and tried to climb, but Lee hit him with a flying dropkick from the top rope. Rey put Rusev through a ladder on the outside with a West Coast Pop.

Lee hit Rey with the Styles Clash. Lee tried to climb, but JD took him down with a Spanish Fly. After they fought on the ladder, Penta gave JD a Destroyer on the ladder bridge below, which got “Holy shit” chants.

Je’Von grabbed the title, but Rusev pulled the ladder away and Je’Von crashed to the mat. Rusev climbed up, but Je’Von brought him down with a top-rope OG cutter. Penta then hit Je’Von with the Destroyer and won the match after grabbing the title.
