El Grande Americanos set to face off in a mask vs. mask match after months of feuding
At AAA’s event on April 11th 2026, the two El Grande Americanos spent much of the night brawling throughout the arena and had to be separated once again to close the show. The second Americano grabbed a microphone and declared that their feud needed to end, issuing a mask vs. mask challenge. While no official date was announced, the match is expected to take place at AAA’s next major event, Noche de Los Grandes, on May 30th.
Earlier in the night, the Original Americano defeated Octagon Jr., capturing his mask and forcing him to submit. After the match, he confronted comedian Ojitos de Huevo and locked him in an ankle lock until interviewer Andrea Bazarte intervened by slapping him. Americano then began stalking Bazarte until the second Americano made the save, leading to a pull-apart brawl between the two.
Later, during the Intercontinental Championship match, the Americanos were once again seen fighting in the background. After Penta retained his title, the two continued brawling in the stands before making their way back to the ring, where the second Americano officially issued the challenge.
