A quick look at the 2026 WWE Hall of Fame class and who might induct them
With today’s announcement of Hogan vs. Andre from WWE WrestleMania 3 being inducted, it feels like the Hall of Fame Class of 2026 is finalized. I have to say, overall, this is a pretty strong class again this year, and I thought it would be fun to look at the inductees’ careers and who might induct them.
1. Stephanie McMahon: Let’s face it, if Vince wasn’t toxic right now, it would be Vince being inducted here over Stephanie, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t deserve this honor. She started her career in front of the camera during the Attitude Era and was a big part of the show for more than two decades. Backstage, she held so many jobs that, while she wasn’t always great at all of them, she still helped get the company where it needed to be at the time.
As for who inducts her, I’m thinking that HHH will induct her, as being her husband, he’s the most logical choice.
2. A.J. Styles: This came out of left field, as it’s rare that they induct guys who just retired from the company, which made a lot of fans in the IWC think that they only did that so they would keep him away from AEW, which was really far-fetched.
This is a weird one, as he already had a great career before joining WWE, but the last 10 years were what cemented his legacy. He pretty much won every title in WWE over the span of 10 years and had classic bouts with some of the top guys in the company. So this was such a well-deserved induction, but considering they stayed away from inducting Bray Wyatt, I thought they would induct him way later.
As for who inducts him, it would have been fun for him to get inducted by Chris Daniels or Samoa Joe. I could see either Cena or Angle being the one who inducts him, considering he had some of the best matches of his career with them.
3. Demolition: This was a long time coming, and I’m super happy for them to finally get inducted. While they didn’t have the longest run in WWE, they made the most out of that run, which lasted four and a half years. They won the tag titles three times and, at the time, were the most over team in the company. Sadly, their run came to a crashing halt when they added Crush to the mix and slowly started to fade them out.
As for who inducts them, why not have The New Day do the honors, considering they’re the ones who beat their record?
4. Dennis Rodman: As a celebrity, he was a pivotal part of the nWo angle near the end of its run and gave WCW the mainstream exposure they needed. He wasn’t the greatest in the ring, but he didn’t need to be, as he was only there to make the faces look good.
As for who inducts him, I would go with either DDP or Karl Malone, as that’s the match that fans remember the most from his career.
5. Sid and Bad News Brown (Legacy Section): Personally, I feel like both deserved better than just being two more names in the Legacy section, especially Sid, who was a multi-time world champion and helped the company get through a rough patch during the mid-90s. But I’m still happy that they’re getting inducted anyway, and I hope it’s not like last year where they just had video packages for the Legacy guys and actually give them time to truly honor them.
6. Hogan vs. Andre (Immortal Moment): This is the match that made Hulkamania what it is today, and Hogan bodyslamming Andre has been used in the opening bumper for at least 15 years now. So this was a no-brainer to get the nod this year. This wasn’t the best technical match, but story-wise, it delivered what it needed to deliver, and we still talk about this match to this day.
I’m guessing that this is going to be Michael Cole’s place to induct this match, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Andre’s daughter and either Nick or Brooke—or maybe both—are the ones to accept this.
In the end, I feel like overall this will be a great class this year, and I’m actually looking forward to watching this show on YouTube in a couple of weeks.
