Report: Chris Jericho expected to sign a new contract with WWE imminently
In recent weeks, there have been rumors about Chris Jericho potentially returning to WWE once his AEW contract expires at the end of 2025. WWE reportedly has “significant interest” in bringing back Jericho.
In an update on Jericho’s future, Alex McCarthy of wrestlingintel.com noted the following…
“Chris Jericho is expected to sign with WWE when his AEW contract expires, Wrestling Intel understands. Sources state that the 55-year-old’s contract expires at midnight on December 31 and he’s expected to commit right away. WWE is considering using him on the one-year anniversary of RAW on Netflix set for January 5, should the deal get done without any problems.”
Jon Alba of SI.com commented on the report by writing via Twitter/X, “my sources also believe he’s going to show up on WWE TV very soon.” Alba stated in his own report that higher-ups in AEW are under the impression that Jericho is done with the company and will be making his WWE return.
During his Winnipeggers podcast on YouTube, Jericho said the following in regards to a potential return…
“You never know. You never know.”
Last night, @AlexMcCarthy88 reported that Chris Jericho's #AEW contract expires at midnight on Dec. 31, he's WWE-bound, and that he may debut as early as Jan. 5 on Raw.
My sources also believe he's going to show up on #WWE TV very soon. ⬇️https://t.co/NNkcFN2qQf
