John Cena addresses The Rock and Travis Scott leaving his WWE heel turn storyline

As seen during the 2025 WWE Elimination Chamber PLE, John Cena officially turned heel against Cody Rhodes and “sold his soul” to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. While speaking to Cody Rhodes after his retirement, Cena addressed The Rock and Travis Scott leaving the storyline after the turn…

“‘Hey, you have The Rock and Travis Scott.’ ‘Awesome. We can plan all this stuff.’ ‘Hey, you don’t have those two guys anymore.’ The two guys in it [Cena and Cody], with their dick in the dirt, not once had a conversation about, ‘Man, what would it have been like if we had those guys?’ No, it was like, ‘Okay, what now? What’s next?'”

Cena also said the following…

“Let’s walk down Hypothetical Street. Let’s say everyone that showed up at the Chamber [including Rock and Scott] is active until August. Okay. That robs us of John Cena – Randy Orton. Yeah. That robs us of John Cena – CM Punk, John Cena – Ron Cena, John Cena – AJ Styles, John Cena – Logan Paul, me and you for the last one, mano a mano. So yes, we might have had star power and gravity and who knows what. But what we got by just being like, ‘These are the pieces left. What can we build?’ What we got for me personally, was beautiful. It was beautiful. I’m not trying to change anybody’s mind. Again, I’ve released art into the world, and they can think how they want about it.”
