CM Punk vs. Jey Uso for the vacant world heavyweight title took place at the WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on November 1st 2025. Here are the highlights…

The two men had a feeling-out process in the early moments as there were dueling chants from the fans. After a few back-and-forth minutes, Punk hit the GTS, but Jey fell outside the ring. Punk poured a bottle of water on Jey and got him back into the ring.

Jey made a comeback with a spear followed by an Uso Splash, but Punk kicked out. After both ended up on top, Punk delivered a superplex to regain the advantage. Punk went for another GTS, but Jey was able to counter with a superkick.

Outside the ring, Jey speared Punk through the barricade. Jey got Punk back into the ring and went for another Uso Splash, but Punk got his knees up. Punk hit another GTS, but Jey kicked out.

Jey came back with a GTS on Punk, but then Punk hit Jey with a spear. Punk hit a third GTS and attempted a fourth, but Jey countered into a sleeper hold. Punk countered the sleeper with an Anaconda Vise, but Jey reached the bottom rope.

After hitting multiple superkicks, Jey went for another spear, but it was countered with a knee followed by a GTS. Punk hit another GTS and finally scored the victory to become the new champion. Punk celebrated his victory with pyro as the show ended.
