Cash Wheeler’s aggravated assault legal case has reportedly been closed

As previously noted, AEW star Daniel Wheeler aka Cash Wheeler was arrested in July of 2023 by the Orlando Police Department and charged with one count of aggravated assault with a firearm.

Wheeler’s trial was scheduled to begin next week. In an update, Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com noted that the Prosecutor’s office filed “Nolle Prosequi” on Monday which means they have opted to drop and abandon the case. At this time, there is no word as to why the Prosecutors made that decision.

Wheeler’s pre-trial hearing set for today has reportedly been canceled and his bond has been released. According to Johnson, the case was officially closed as of 3:00 PM on Monday afternoon.

The Young Bucks, Jack Perry, and Kazuchika Okada are scheduled to face Eddie Kingston, Bryan Danielson, and FTR in an Anarchy in the Arena match at the 2024 AEW Double or Nothing PPV event.
