News regarding Shayna Baszler being able to work non-WWE event during Wrestlemania 40 week

As previously noted, Shayna Baszler was announced for Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport event during Wrestlemania 40 week. It’s believed that multiple WWE talent will be part of the event besides Baszler.

In regards to Baszler and other contracted talent being able to work non-WWE events, Dave Meltzer was told that “it was a Paul Levesque [Triple H] decision and that Paul Levesque has a different view on these things than Vince McMahon had.”

Fightful Select had additional details on the matter…

“WWE sources confirmed to Fightful Select that Josh Barnett reached out to Triple H to secure Shayna Baszler for Bloodsport, and that Triple H and Barnett have known each other for years and seem to have great respect for one another.”

Barnett wrote the following about Baszler’s appearance…
