Rumor regarding Sonya Deville’s in-ring status with WWE

In the summer of 2020, Phillip A. Thomas II was arrested for the attempted kidnapping of Sonya Deville. Shortly after the incident, Deville took a hiatus from WWE and eventually returned in a non-wrestling role.

In an update on Deville’s status as an in-ring performer, Steve Carrier of RingsideNews.com noted that Deville reportedly been preparing for a return to the ring.

We've been hearing that Sonya Deville is training for her in-ring return. After asking around, we were also told that she was supposed to be back around Mania season, but they keep pushing it back "a week, then two weeks, yada yada," so yeah. Stay tuned on that one. It'll happen.
