Talks between WWE and Mercedes Mone (Sasha Banks) for a return have reportedly fell through

Mercedes Mone (formerly Sasha Banks) hasn’t wrestled since the NJPW Resurgence event on May 21st when she suffered an ankle injury. Earlier in December, Mercedes published a video of herself training which has fueled speculation about her return to the ring soon.

On Friday, Mercedes posted a photo of herself via an Instagram story with a picture of Triple H in the background. While Mercedes has been teasing a WWE return on social media, Fightful Select is reporting the following…

“WWE sources stated to Fightful Friday night that the two sides are no longer in active negotiations regarding a return. The two sides had recently been engaged in conversations about a return. We’re told the dialogue was friendly, the back and forth failed to progress, and WWE sources claim that their side walked as a result of it.”

It was added that WWE sources expect Mercedes to appear elsewhere imminently.
