A “former WWE champion” could be making a special appearance at RAW on January 1st 2024

The “Day 1” edition of WWE RAW is coming up on January 1st 2024. According to Fightful Select, WWE is very close to having an unnamed “former WWE Champion” appear on the show. WWE sources are said to be confident that they can get the deal done in time for the show.

Fightful also stated the following…

“It’s worth noting that ‘former WWE Champion’ was the terms used by those sources. We asked if the name was one that was active or a retired talent, but weren’t given that info… We haven’t been given a specific name, but were told it was someone not currently on their roster.”

Triple H publicly acknowledged the rumor…

“Not going to confirm or deny the rumors of a former @WWE Champion appearing at #WWERaw Day One… but I will say to stay tuned. New Year’s Day, 8pm ET on @USANetwork.”
