Rey Mysterio (c) vs. Logan Paul for the United States title took place at the WWE Crown Jewel 2023 PLE. Here are the highlights…

* Before the match, a video package was shown of Logan Paul driving through the desert. Logan drove himself all the way into the arena.

* Rey got the early momentum and went for a submission but Logan escaped to the outside of the ring. Logan came back in and avoided a 619 attempt. Rey went for a crossbody but was caught by Logan. Logan slowed the pace down and worked over Rey on the mat.

* The tide changed when Logan charged at Rey but hit the ring post and fell to the outside. Rey hit a suicide dive and got Logan back into the ring. Rey went for multiple pins but couldn’t keep Logan down. Rey applied a crossface but Logan got to the rope.

* Both ended up on the top and Logan hit a moonsault fallaway slam but Rey kicked out.

* Rey went a 619 but Logan caught him. Someone from Logan’s entourage handed him brass knuckles but they got knocked out of Logan’s hand by Rey. The man tried to grab them on the outside but Santos Escobar stopped him. Santos left the knuckles on the apron and chased after the man. Rey went for the 619 as Logan grabbed the knuckles. Logan then knocked out Rey with the knuckles and scored the pinfall victory.

* After the match, Logan tried to show Rey respect but Rey yelled “I know what you did.”
