News regarding the creative direction for the WarGames match at WWE Survivor Series
As seen during the October 20th 2023 edition of WWE Smackdown, Smackdown general manager Nick Aldis had RAW general manager Adam Pearce escorted from the building. Pearce was not happy about being kicked out and said “let the games begin” prior to leaving.
There was internet speculation that the Aldis/Pearce segment was a tease for the WarGames match at Survivor Series. However, Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com was told that “right now the WarGames match is not planned as a RAW vs. Smackdown match.”
Another potential tease for WarGames took place during the October 6th edition of Smackdown. Members of The Bloodline and Judgment Day had a face-off with top WWE babyfaces including Cody Rhodes, John Cena, LA Knight, and Jey Uso. It’s believed that a WarGames match will be taking place at Survivor Series despite WWE not officially confirming one yet.
