WWE Smackdown and AEW Dynamite both take a hit in viewership

This past Friday’s edition of WWE Smackdown on FOX drew an estimated 1.76 million viewers with a .40 18-49 rating and continues the show’s downward trend in recent weeks. The viewership is preliminary which means the final number could be higher. The record-low viewership for Smackdown on FOX was 1.77 million viewers from July 3rd, 2020.

AEW Dynamite, which aired on TNT right after Smackdown due to the NBA Playoffs, drew 526,000 viewers with a .20 18-49 rating. Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com noted that the numbers were “as expected much lower than they’ve ever done.”
