Update on the December 26th 2022 edition of WWE RAW not being a live show
The December 26th 2022 edition of WWE RAW, which will air the day after Christmas, will not be a live show and will instead be “The Absolute Best of 2022” special. Fightful Select noted the following about why the decision was made to not produce a live RAW…
“One talent indicated they hadn’t been told the reason and said that they were wondering themselves as to why, before updating and noted that it was likely to give production workers some additional time off. Another WWE source confirmed this, mentioning that when WWE does live events, it requires far less people and even sometimes entire departments won’t have to work those.”
WWE is holding a RAW live event on Monday night in Columbus, OH and a Smackdown live event at Madison Square Garden in New York City. WWE talent are reportedly being “reimbursed well” for working the post-Christmas shows.
