AEW world title match officially confirmed for 2022 All Out PPV
The August 31st 2022 edition of AEW Dynamite kicked out with the new undisputed world champion Jon Moxley. Moxley commented on beating CM Punk and then said he had an open contract to fight anyone at the 2022 All Out PPV. Moxley took his leave and left the contract in the ring which was grabbed by producer Ace Steel.
Later on during the show, CM Punk came to the ring for a promo. Punk was emotional about his world title loss and questioned if he came back too soon. Punk said he left everyone down and then Steel came to the ring.
Steel brought up how he trained Punk and wasn’t going to let Punk leave. Steel said it’s about getting back up when you are knocked down. Steel then slapped Punk and told him to sign the contract. A fired up Punk hugged Steel and then signed the contract.
