Update on Thunder Rosa’s AEW status after being pulled from All Out due to injury
As previously noted, Thunder Rosa won’t be able to compete at AEW All Out 2022 due to injury and a four-way match will take place at the PPV to crown an interim women’s champion.
The nature of Rosa’s injury hasn’t been confirmed and it’s unknown how long she will be out of action. During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com noted the following regarding the match that had been scheduled between Rosa and Toni Storm…
“The AEW Women’s division lost a lot of ground when Britt Baker lost the title, the interest level went down. They were going to make a change. If Rosa was on the show, she was going to lose.” (quote courtesy of RingsideNews.com)
Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com addressed a rumor going around about Rosa…
“There is a story making the rounds that Rosa has been suspended by the company and is not injured. In checking with multiple sources, we are told there is zero truth to that story and her injury required a change in AEW plans for the PPV.”
