MJF reportedly still frustrated about his contract situation with AEW

It was previously reported that MJF has been frustrated about his AEW contract and wants to be paid more money. MJF referenced his contract expiring (2024) on television during the May 11th 2022 edition of Dynamite.

In an update on the matter, Fightful Select is reporting that MJF remains frustrated with his contract situation and is leaning towards not re-signing with AEW once his deal is up. MJF’s comments about possibly jumping to WWE are not believed to be in character.

During an appearance on the Barstool Rasslin’ podcast, MJF commented on possible WWE matches with names such as Roman Reigns…

“I think me and him [Reigns] would have a tremendous match. I think it would be a friendly competition. I would also love to wrestle Seth Rollins. I would love to wrestle The Miz.”
