News regarding Charlotte Flair’s storyline injury from WWE Wrestlemania Backlash 2022

As seen at the 2022 WWE Wrestlemania Backlash PLE, Ronda Rousey defeated Charlotte Flair in a “I Quit” match to win the Smackdown women’s title. After the match, WWE announced that Charlotte suffered a “fracture of the radius” at the hands of Rousey.

Charlotte will be getting married to Andrade El Idolo later this summer. Just prior to Wrestlemania 38, Charlotte said the following to Ariel Helwani…

“We have a date. It’s this summer, in Mexico. I have my dress.”

The injury is a storyline as it was noted by Fightful.com that “WWE creative was told Charlotte would be taking a little time off.” During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com addressed Charlotte’s status and said “that is in fact the case, it’s the angle to write her off to get married.”
