Wrestle Review/Double Up by: Andy Sullivan
Double Or Nothing will be a long night, as usual. Let’s run down this massive card, shall we?
The buy-in will feature Hook and Danhausen aka “Hookhausen” vs Mark Sterling and Tony Neese. I say Hook pins Neese.
Frankie Kazarian, Sammy Guevara and Tay Conti vs TNT Champ Scorpio Sky, Ethan Page and Page Vanzant. Seriously, who are the good guys here? People are nauseated by Sammy and Tay. The other team has Dan Lambert, who is great at being a hole. Frankie needs to pin Sky so we can have a fresh TNT championship feud.
Darby Allin vs Kyle O’Reilly, thrown together as it is, should be a good one. Any match featuring either of these two usually is. I’m picking Kyle to win. Might even get some Adam Cole interference.
Death Triangle and House of Black should be a stellar six-man. That said, it doesn’t seem to me like much time has been given to this match. Or maybe it’s not high on my list,
Britt Baker and Adom Cole will win the men’s and women’s Owen Hart Foundation tournament. This has basically been known since the outset of the tournament. I’d be shocked if anything else happened.
Moxley, Santana, Ortiz and Bryan Danielson vs the Jericho Appreciation Society in an Anarchy in the Arena match. It’s basically a no disqualification match that I figure Jericho’s crew finds a way to win.
Wardlow must beat MJF. They surely wouldn’t do this whole angle of MJF putting Wardlow through his paces just to have MJF win. That would infuriate fans. Wardlow wins his freedom.
TBS champion Jade Cargill will dominate Anna Jay. Well, she’ll beat Anna Jay. I’m sure this won’t be a squash match.
Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus defend the AEW tag team championship against Ricky Starks and Powerhouse Hobbs as well as Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland. I say Starks and Hobbs weasel their way into the championships.
Thunder Rosa defends the AEW Women’s Championship against Serena Deeb. I think Rosa retains.
The AEW Championship will be defended in the main event as “Hangman” Adam Page will defend the title against CM Punk. I think Page should retain. I know some people are bored with Page’s reign but I just don’t see Punk winning the championship. Punk is on a roll, however. Page is on a roll as well. This match should be incredible!
