The X-Factor: WWE Survivor Series 2024

Wonder why they haven’t dropped the name in favor of WarGames. Seems superfluous now. It was the second of the Big Four so there’s that.

The men’s WarGames we saw coming miles away and they need to elaborate on why Sami Zayn chose to rejoin Roman’s Bloodline. Also, Seth Rollins looks rather sanctimonious saying no given he stabbed Reigns in the back first. It’s been established that helped turn Reigns into the Tribal Chief to begin with.

CM Punk no doubt puts eyes on the match, even if he’s something of an odd choice.

That said, Bronson Reed is now just the heavy hitter. Will Seth hit the ring in Glendale saying, “screw CM Punk, I want in now!”

It’s a missed opportunity. Reigns could’ve reminded us all Seth is the one who started Reigns on his path and it would’ve made for a great segment.

It was a pipe dream. What if Heyman had a different fifth man? Perhaps his old client? The 1 in 21-1? Like I said, pipe dream, but the pop from Brock Lesnar’s theme would’ve been insane!

Cody Rhodes could’ve been the fifth man. Why didn’t they go with him? Swap out Bronson Reed for Kevin Owens.

As for the women’s WarGames? Talk about lazy. Throwing together that one for the sake of having a big female match on the card? Hello? Tag team title match? Traditional elimination tag?

One thing that could make it memorable is a cash in, but on who? Nia Jax is the easy choice, but Liv is in there too.

Taking out Jade Cargill was done for drama. Bayley’s the obvious choice to replace her. Her teaming with Iyo Sky doesn’t make sense, but it wouldn’t have stopped Vince if he was in charge.

How about the Final Testament vs. the Wyatt Sicks? Dominik, Carlito, and American Made vs. the lWo? Either one could’ve been the second WarGames.

BTW, it’s time for me to address an elephant in the room.

A year ago, the Bloodline was the top faction. They were 1a, and The Judgment Day were 1b. Look at them in comparison to last years Survivor Series.

Only the women are fighting this year, Finn and JD have defended their straps maybe twice in five months, and the group is just treading water by now.

On that note, Rhea Ripley as a babyface isn’t working. Both of her female enemies had good reason to hate her, and why hasn’t there been some big confrontation between her and Rey Mysterio?
