WWE reportedly unhappy about taped SmackDown broadcast from London leaking online

The June 26th 2026 edition of WWE Smackdown was taped on June 23rd in London, England. In addition to spoilers circulating around the internet, footage from the broadcast leaked on various websites. However, it appears that WWE sent copyright takedown notices to have most of the clips removed.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com noted the following…

“There was internal unhappiness within WWE this week as apparently the entire episode of tonight’s Smackdown leaked online in different places. No idea how that happened but I could certainly see why that would upset people in the company.”

The taped SmackDown from London will air tonight on the USA Network. Next week’s SmackDown will also be taped in advance on Monday night after RAW, allowing WWE talent and staff to have the Fourth of July holiday weekend off.
