WWE production employees that traveled early for Night of Champions reportedly stuck at airport in Qatar

Over the weekend, the United States conducted airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities amid Iran’s conflict with Israel. Iran’s foreign minister has threatened “consequences” in response and this has led to concern about WWE traveling to Saudi Arabia for the Night of Champions PLE.

On Monday, multiple news outlets reported that there was a temporary suspension of civilian flights through the air space around Qatar as Iran attacked the Al Udeid U.S. military base near the capital city of Doha. According to Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline.com, several WWE production employees who flew in early for NOC are now stuck at the airport in Qatar while en route to Saudi Arabia.

Fightful.com noted that WWE wrestlers are still scheduled to travel to Saudi Arabia on Wednesday. It’s being said that WWE is continuing to monitor the situation and a source within the company hopes they will reconsider moving forward with plans.
