WWE originally had a different name in mind for Jacob Fatu

As seen during the June 21st 2024 edition of Smackdown, Jacob Fatu made his WWE debut by helping out The Bloodline. According to Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com, WWE had trademarked the name “Caesar Sikoa” with the intent of using it for Fatu but the company obviously changed plans.

Meltzer stated the following about the matter…

“This regime isn’t as quick to change people’s names (Tama Tonga & Tonga Loa) as Vince [McMahon] was where he wanted full ownership of the name and also that if the person left, they couldn’t use the name they used in WWE. This group appears to want those just starting out to be given stage names, but if you’ve made a name elsewhere, they aren’t as quick to make you change that name.”
