WWE officially confirms tournament to crown new women’s tag team champions
During the May 20th 2022 edition of WWE Smackdown, Michael Cole announced that Sasha Banks and Naomi were suspended indefinitely and there would be a tournament to crown new women’s tag team champions.
After two and a half months of the titles being vacant, plans for a tournament are finally moving forward. During the August 5th 2022 edition of Smackdown, it was confirmed that the tournament will begin on Monday’s RAW and a promo from Adam Pearce was published on social media.
