WWE NXT spoilers for the July 27th 2021 episode

The July 27th 2021 edition of WWE NXT was taped at the Capitol Wrestling Center on Wednesday night. The show will air on the SyFy network.

Here are spoilers from the show courtesy of Jay Reddick…

* Samoa Joe will return to face Karrion Kross for the NXT title at Takeover 36. Joe invited Regal to the ring, resigned as NXT management and asked Regal to sign a contract for the title match, which he did. Satisfied, Joe left holding the contract. Takeover is set for Aug. 22, SummerSlam weekend.

* Carmelo Hayes d. Josh Briggs with a top-rope legdrop to the back.

* Dakota Kai attacks Raquel Gonzalez and leaves her laying.

* Kacy Catanzaro/Kayden Carter vs. Franky Monet/Jessi Kamea. Carter/Catanzaro win when Robert Stone’s attempted interference backfires. Monet gets angry and drags Stone to the back.

* Imperium vs. Hit Row. Legado del Fantasma distracts Hit Row, allowing Imperium to get the win.

* Adam Cole d. Bronson Reed with two Last Shots. Kyle O’Reilly attacks Cole with a chair afterward and leaves him laying to end next week’s show.
