Breaking news: Samoa Joe returning to the ring at WWE NXT Takeover 36
The July 27th 2021 edition of WWE NXT was taped at the Capitol Wrestling Center on Wednesday night. During the taping, it was announced that Samoa Joe will be returning to the ring as Karrion Kross’ opponent for the NXT Title at WWE NXT Takeover 36. Joe resigned from his management role to get the match during a segment with William Regal.
Joe invited Regal to the ring, resigned as NXT management and asked Regal to sign a contract for the title match, which he did. Satisfied, Joe left holding the contract. Takeover is set for Aug. 22, SummerSlam weekend. pic.twitter.com/cvxFGUqGF0
