WWE confirms injury to Shotzi and match change announced for Smackdown

As previously noted, Shotzi was injured during the WWE NXT tapings that took place on February 13th 2024. Shotzi was originally scheduled to have an Elimination Chamber qualifying match against Tiffany Stratton on this Friday’s edition of Smackdown.

WWE Smackdown General Manager Nick Aldis confirmed the injury and announced a match change…

“I have some unfortunate news to kick things off. Shotzi is unfortunately injured and unable to compete, so I wish her the best in her recovery, but it does mean opportunity knocks for another superstar. That superstar is Alba Fyre.”

“Roman Reigns the WWE Champion, and The Rock will also be in attendance. I hear they like to cook. I have a few dishes prepared myself if you catch my drift.” (quotes courtesy of Sportskeeda.com)
