Wrestling promotion receives fan backlash for uploading promo from former WWE star Drew Gulak

In the spring of 2024, Ronda Rousey claimed that WWE star Drew Gulak acted inappropriately towards her while she was working for the company. A short time later, Gulak left WWE but Paul “Triple H” Levesque stated that Gulak wasn’t released but rather a decision was made to not renew his contract.

Wrestling promotion Beyond Wrestling uploading a video of Drew Gulak cutting a promo in the ring with Masha Slamovich. Gulak said the following to Slamovich before attacking her…

“So in any time in the business that we have been together, anytime we’ve been in Beyond Wrestling, did I ever make you feel uncomfortable? At any time, did you feel like I was a danger in the locker room? Well, you should have.”

As of this writing, the video has received fan backlash on YouTube with 244 dislikes compared to 67 likes. Fans on Twitter/X have also criticized the segment with one user writing the following

“I don’t know what’s worse… Beyond Wrestling booking him in this angle or Drew Gulak having the nerve to do this. Safety in the locker rooms, at training and in the ring is no hook for an angle. Not all attention is good. This is awkward shit.”
