What WWE reportedly has planned at the moment for Wrestlemania 38’s main event
As seen during the July 9th 2021 edition of Friday Night Smackdown, Jimmy Uso was featured prominently along with Roman Reigns and brother Jey despite his DUI arrest earlier in the week.
Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com recently brought up how Jimmy Uso is apparently factored into Wrestlemania 38 plans with The Rock and WWE didn’t want to “screw up” the angle by taking Jimmy off television.
In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Meltzer provided more information about the situation. Meltzer said he was told that Jimmy’s storyline is a “major” part of plans for Wrestlemania. WWE reportedly wants to do Roman Reigns vs. The Rock as a singles match but the company is said to have an idea of a backup plan. Here is what Meltzer noted about the situation…
“One idea that has been talked about, as the goal is Reigns and Rock in Dallas for the 2022 Mania, is that if concessions have to be made regarding Rock and movies and injury fears, that they do Reigns and an Uso vs. Rock and an Uso, so Rock can be protected from doing too much and it keeps it all in the family with the idea and Rock and Reigns as who is really the tribal chief.”
