What is being said about Nick Aldis not facing Randy Orton in a match at WWE WrestleMania 41
As seen during the WWE WrestleMania 41 Sunday PLE, TNA world champion Joe Hendry was Randy Orton’s mystery opponent but ended up losing the match. Leading up to the event, there was speculation about Smackdown general manager Nick Aldis potentially being Orton’s opponent.
During Sportskeeda.com’s WrestleVotes Radio, the following was said in regards to Aldis…
“For those that are into this type of stuff, we are told. WWE had no real consideration to have Nick Aldis as Randy Orton’s WrestleMania opponent. The segment that was done where all this took an RKO was done, quote, ‘To kill a week of TV’ with Joe Hendry already locked down at that point. We are told, however, Nick Aldis is open to competing down the road, if the story is right and appropriate for him to come back and compete.” (quote courtesy of WrestlingNews.co)
On today’s episode of WrestleVotes Radio, we dive into Kiana James’ impending return, the future of Tonga Loa and Tama Tonga, and what WWE may have planned for the Pat McAfee brand.
