What is being said about Brock Lesnar’s status with WWE heading into Wrestlemania 40

It’s believed that Brock Lesnar did not appear in the 2024 men’s WWE Royal Rumble match because of his name being associated with the Vince McMahon sex trafficking lawsuit.

Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com noted that due to the situation with Lesnar, creative plans were changed for both Elimination Chamber and Wrestlemania 40. In addition to reportedly being scheduled for a match against Dominik Mysterio at the 2024 Elimination Chamber PLE, it’s believed that Lesnar was going to have face Intercontinental champion Gunther at Wrestlemania. It now looks like neither of the proposed matches will be taking place.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer discussed Lesnar’s status with WWE…

“It appears that Brock Lesnar is not going to be around for a while. Some people think ever. When it comes to talent, I hate to say forever because most of the time it’s not the case, especially if somebody can draw. They always seem to find a way back.” (quote courtesy of WrestlingNews.co)
