What is being said about Bo Dallas’ status with WWE and the Uncle Howdy character

Bo Dallas, who portrayed the Uncle Howdy character, has not been used in WWE since Bray Wyatt (Windham Rotunda) was taken off television in March of 2023. During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com noted the following about Dallas’ status…

“I think he’s done. The only reason he was even being used was as a favor to Bray Wyatt. It’s possible they’ll use him, but I don’t expect him to be back.” (quote courtesy of WrestlingNews.co)

Steve Carrier of RingsideNews.com noted that “the last we heard, Triple H wasn’t turning down ideas for the Uncle Howdy character” in response to what Meltzer said. Earlier this month, Carrier wrote the following…

“We’re hearing rumors that WWE may bring Uncle Howdy back into the creative picture. We are told that Triple H ‘is always open to ideas from the writers, and there are always ideas regarding different talents.’ That being said, Triple H has not shut down hearing ideas that would bring Uncle Howdy back to television.”
