What is being said about Bianca Belair’s status with WWE following injury angle on Smackdown

As seen during the August 18th 2023 edition of WWE Smackdown, an injury angle took place with Damage CTRL targeting the leg of Bianca Belair. According to Fightful Select, the angle was done to write Bianca off television for the time being.

Fightful noted the following…

“Belair was planned for some time off, and was factored in creatively. However, we’ve heard differing things on how long she could be out, ranging from a few weeks (under a month) to possibly three months.”

Bianca was said to have received “constant praise” for the numerous media and community events appearances she appeared at while she was the women’s champion.
