What is being said about AEW possibly switching to a monthly PPV event schedule

In recent months, there has been talk of AEW’s content library possibly being on a streaming service such as HBO Max.

AEW started out with four PPV events a year but expanded to six with the additions of Forbidden Door and WrestleDream. During this week’s Mat Men podcast, Andrew Zarian of F4WOnline.com discussed AEW possibly moving to a monthly PPV event schedule. On Twitter/X, Zarian wrote “I feel confident to say that AEW will be on Max in 2024 and AEW will expand its PPV Schedule to 12 a year.” Zarian added that “it makes sense for the company to go to a monthly PPV cycle” as AEW can generate more revenue.
