What Adam Copeland (Edge) said to fans and Christian Cage during the 10/4/23 edition of AEW Dynamite

During the October 4th 2023 edition of AEW Dynamite, Adam Copeland (Edge) cut his first in-ring promo since joining the company at the WrestleDream PPV event.

Copeland said there were several reasons why he came to AEW. For one thing, he said the AEW world title would look good around his waist. He brought new several new potential opponents such as Jon Moxley, Kenny Omega, Miro, Powerhouse Hobbs, Jay White, and Juice Robinson. Copeland said he will be able to challenge himself with something new after 31 years in the wrestling business.

Copeland asked his kids what he should do and it was suggested that he “have fun with Uncle Jay.” Copeland asked Jay aka Christian Cage to come to the ring. Christian then made his entrance to the ring.

Copeland said he still loves Christian but couldn’t let him attack Sting. Copeland also said Luchasaurus and Nick Wayne will drop him when they get the chance. Copeland said it’s time for them to team again and face teams like FTR and The Young Bucks. Christian gave him a hug but then said “go f*ck yourself” and left the ring. Christian brought out Luchasaurus and Nick Wayne to the stage as Dynamite went off the air.

At the start of the show, there was a backstage segment with Copeland meeting Kenny Omega on-screen for the first time. Omega said that seeing Copeland at WrestleDream had him “on the EDGE of his seat” and they shook hands.
