Warner Bros. Discovery claims that CM Punk “is not affiliated with TNT’s AEW Collision”
As previously noted, AEW officially confirmed the new weekly Collision show for Saturday nights but there was no mention of CM Punk despite rumors of him being the show’s focal point. Connor Casey from ComicBook.com reached out to Warner Bros. Discovery and received the following statement: “CM Punk is not affiliated with TNT’s AEW Collision.”
There has been internet speculation that AEW is waiting until Dynamite to officially announce Punk’s return. For what it’s worth, Punk’s return was potentially leaked early by mistake as Jimmy Traina of SI.com noted the following…
“Here’s an interesting one for the wrestling fans: AEW’s press release on their new show says, ‘will feature headliners including Thunder Rosa, Miro, Samoa Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs and Andrade El Idolo.’ Their email, though, and link to the release, mentioned CM Punk. Hmmm….”
