Vince McMahon regime had reportedly “really soured” on Gunther

As seen during the July 4th 2022 edition of WWE RAW, Intercontinental champion Gunther defeated R-Truth who was dressed up as Uncle Sam. It appears that the Vince McMahon regime “really soured” on Gunther after that segment as Twitter account @WrestleVotes noted the following…

Since then, McMahon retired and Gunther has continued to be pushed under the Triple H regime. Gunther successfully defended his title against Shinsuke Nakamura in the main event of Smackdown on August 12th.
