Video: Bianca Belair’s new opponent for the Smackdown women’s title revealed

As previously noted, WWE announced that Bayley has been injured and will be out of action for around nine months.

During the July 9th 2021 edition of WWE Smackdown, Sonya Deville announced that Carmella would be Smackdown women champion Bianca Belair’s new opponent. However, the match will be taking place on the July 16th edition of Smackdown instead of the Money in the Bank PPV.

Liv Morgan was upset about Carmella being chosen but Deville then announced that Liv would be taking Carmella’s spot in the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match.
