Update regarding Ronda Rousey possibly returning to WWE at the Royal Rumble

As previously noted, there is talk that Ronda Rousey will be returning to WWE at the 2022 Royal Rumble PLE.

In an update, Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com noted that at least one WWE official met with Rousey last week in California. Johnson also wrote the following…

“According to WWE sources, Rousey’s makeup artist and stylist when she last worked for WWE, Abraham Esparza, is slated to be at the PPV and RAW this coming week. We are told that that has been locked in for weeks and weeks.”

Johnson added that WWE is “ready” and wants Rousey for WWE Wrestlemania 38.

The belief is that if Rousey is in the women’s Rumble match, she will be the winner. Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com stated the following during Wrestling Observer Radio…

“The problem is that if she’s in the Rumble, does that mean she’s gonna win the Rumble? if she’s gonna come in and get thrown out, it’ll be kind of nothing. Especially if she’s gonna be like a big headliner at Wrestlemania.” (quote courtesy of RingsideNews.com)
