Update on the WWE status of former NXT UK Champion WALTER

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com, there has been some talk as of late about having former WWE NXT UK Champion WALTER utilized more beyond the NXT UK brand. Johnson noted the following…

“One source told PWInsider.com over the weekend he was in the United States currently, so it should be interesting to see if his name comes up during the Draft tonight.”

WALTER’s last match in the United States was in August when he dropped the NXT UK title to Ilja Dragunov at the Takeover 36 PPV. During an interview prior to the PPV, WALTER said the following regarding a possible move to the main roster…

“That’s not a scenario I’ve talked about with them. I don’t know. I’m happy in the situation I’m in now. I’m the only guy who holds a European championship in WWE and I’m a representative of European wrestling. To be authentic with that, I’ve kind of got to live in Europe if that makes sense (laughs).”
