Update on the status of WWE’s Night of Champions 2025 PLE in Saudi Arabia

Over the weekend, the United States conducted airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities amid Iran’s conflict with Israel. Iran’s foreign minister has threatened “consequences” in response and this has led to concern about WWE traveling to Saudi Arabia for the Night of Champions PLE.

In an update on the event, Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com noted the following…

“WWE’s chartered flight to Saudi Arabia, carrying most of the talent heading to this week’s Friday Night Smackdown and Night of Champions in Riyadh, left Miami, Florida around 5 PM Eastern this afternoon. We are told that WWE’s John Gaburick, who oversees the production of the Saudi shows and is very much the company liason to that country, flew from Riyadh to meet with talents and take the charter flight back over with them, in part to assure everyone that everything was fine and that this trip would be no different than the usual visits to the Middle East.”
