Update on the contractual status of Kevin Owens heading into WWE Wrestlemania 41

This past May during an interview with The Metro UK to promote the 2024 Backlash: France PLE, Kevin Owens noted that he had nine months left on his WWE contract. It was later reported that Owens had been approached for a new contract.

According to Fightful.com, it has been confirmed that Owens has signed a new five-year WWE contract. Those close to the situation confirm the new deal started on the day of the Royal Rumble PLE. Owens seemingly commented on his contractual status with the following post via Twitter/X…

“If you guys help support my daughter’s Girl Scout troop by buying some cookies, I promise to keep wrestling for at least 4 years, 11 months, and 22 days more.”
